www.slovakiatourism.sk - Official web site of Slovak Tourist Board. It is an excellent web site with a huge amount of information about what Slovakia has to offer. You can download brochures in pdf format about Slovakia, Bratislava, High Tatras etc. Web site is in 8 languages - sorry no Spanish.
www.cia.gov - CIA - The World Factbook. This web site contains detailed factographic information about geography, people, government, economy, communication, transportation and military of Slovakia. This web site is updated yearly.
www.slovakia.org - Very good web site about Slovakia created by someone in Canada. Web sites concentrates on Slovak history, culture, tourism and genealogy. It has important information for travel, emergency phone numbers, visa information and extensive links section. Don't listen to the pronunciation of basic slovak phrases as they are in Czech. Instead, check out Slovak recipes in the society section.
www.tanap.sk - A must-see web site for those planning to visit beautiful Slovak mountains High Tatras. This web site contains very useful information for summer hiking including links to detailed hiking maps. For winter tourists, it contains information about skiing resorts, daily updated snow reports and much more.
