My name is Taras Baca and I come from Slovakia. I created this web site to be able to keep in touch with my friends residing all over the world. This web site is under construction and is intended to remain so as I will be adding the new things regularly. Therefore I recommend you to keep coming back. Server Down (August 2004)
I appologize to everybody who was not able to access my web site for the last few weeks. My server had a major hardware breakdown. Still not sure what caused it, but the fact is that the motherboard, graphics card, network card, power supply and hard drive broke. The site is back, I was able to recover some of the data from the backup, but some of it not. If you have a problem to log into the Album secion, please send me an e-mail. Most likely your login information is gone. I will have to recreate a login and password for you. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will also be adding back pictures from 2003, that are missing.

 Skiing in France (January 2003)
Me, my colleagues and friends took a skiing trip to France in January 2003. We went to a skiing resort in French Alps called Les Menuires. We skied in the altitudes between 1800 and 2800 m above the sea level. We had beautifull sunny weather most of the time and had a lot of snow all week. It was a blast!

 Graduation (December 2002)
Dear friends,
It is my big pleasure to inform you, that after three semesters spent at College of Management at North Carolina State University, I will be awarded a degree MBA (Master of Business Administration) in E-commerce and Information Technology Management. Graduation will take place today, Dec 18th 2002, at 11:30 EST in RBC Sports Arena in Raleigh. With this, my stay in the USA concludes and I will return back to Slovakia on Sunday.
I want to thank everybody who stood by me, I wish you all pleasant Christmas holidays and hope to see you soon.

 West Coast Road Trip (October 2002)
After already seeing most of the United States, I decided to fly to west coast before going back home to Slovakia. I rented a car and travelled over 2200 kilometers in 8 days visiting cities including San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego. I also checked out beautiful national parks Yosemite, Kings Canyon NP, Sequoia NP and Grand Canyon. California was very different in a good way than the rest of the US I have seen before.

 Road Trip Northeast USA (May 2002)
My brother Ivan came to see me to the United States in May. It was quite a trip. We met in New York, then rented a car and travelled to Boston, Philladelphia, Gettysburgh, Pittsburgh, Niagara Falls, Baltimore, Washington, Raleigh and finally flew to Austin in Texas. You can find about 450 picture from this trip in my Photo Gallery. Feel free to check them out.

 Trip to Mexico (April 2002)
Me and few of my friends, namely Alona, Seiko, Satoko, Noel and Andoni decided to spend a spring break in Mexico. It turned out to be a blast! We flew into Mexico city, then visited cities of Queretaro, Morelia, Patzcuaro, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, beach in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo and Teotihuacan pyramids. We tasted unbelievably excellent mexican cousine. Everything from tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, gorditas, tortas ahogadas, burritos, chilaquiles, not to mention our very good friend Tequila :-). I recommend visiting Mexico highly to everybody.

 New Year in Detroit (December 2001)
I spent this year's New Year with my good friend Monika in Detroit. Although she got robbed on the New Year's night, I think we had a great time. I met with her Curt and the polish gang :-). Of course, our dear friend Zubrowka was present. I also got to go to the windy city of Chicago. Liked it a lot.

New pictures and adventures added
I added about 160 pictures to my Album today (01/21/02) and also about 5 adventures. The Christmas ones are still coming. It was a lot of travelling and a lot of fun, so look forward to them. Click on the 2001 in the Album, year 2002 is still empty.

 Sunsets
As you all probably know, one of my hobbies is photography. I like to take pictures of almost everything, but I like especially photographing nature sceneries, city skylines, skyscrapers and sunsets. Talking about sunsets, I have a collection of sunset pictures in Special Galleries that I want to show you. It is rather small, but I think that you will like it. Let me know. By the way, did anybody notice the sunset in the top left corner? :-) I will create a skyscraper collection in the near future.

 Trip to Austin (October 2001)
I went for a trip to Austin Texas in October. I have three of my cousins living there so I decided to use my fall break from school to go there. I have met with my relatives, did little bit of sightseeing and shopping. The weather was beautiful, wormer than in Raleigh, North Carolina. I even went for a swim to Barton Springs. I spent about 5 days down there and had a wonderfull time.
